    I love Walt's advocacy of working from client based feedback. The chiropractor I worked for when I started 27 years ago wanted interactive body work. I developed a practice based on protective reflexes. Reflexes travel on Tom's Anatomy trains. Therefor as I touch on anterior trains it has effect on voice and swallowing and often evokes a cough. Connecting these in the mind of the client often evokes the question can I do this myself. Yes that is my goal that you understand what these symptoms are trying to tell you to deferent and what and how to do it.

    I need this kind of treatment and I’m unsure where to look in my area. I live in Syracuse New York. What do I look for in a therapist or chiropractor even they can do this kind of work. Any information would be great. Thanks.

    Good interview, but I was sorry that they didn’t mention the unionization efforts that are happening in spas studios in the US. Elements and Hand&Stone both have unionized locations, and at least one hotel spa is organizing. Collective bargaining is a key way for employee massage therapists to protect themselves from wage theft and exploitation, so they can do the job they love and still attain financial security. We deserve fair wages and benefits for the skilled labor we provide.

    I have pain in/at the sacroiliac joint, also at this ligament and very much tension in the musculus biceps femoris down to the back/outside of the knee. The lasègue test gives me burning pain to this ligament at very low angle. My therapist thinks it is a sciatica nerve problem, but i feel different. Are there specific tests for this ligament that show that it might be the main sorce of my problem?

      Sorry you're dealing with that. Nothing here should be construed as advice of course, but gentle pain-provocation testing (direct palpation; motion-testing; etc) by a trained practitioner can reveal potential STL contributions to your symptoms.

    Thank you for excellent demo! We use this sometimes for labour with women who sit a lot. Babies have difficulty moving down when the sacrum amd coccyx can not move out of the way. This has saved a few women and babies from needless C-sections.

    I have always loved Til’s teachings. As an MT w 20 years under my belt I always wished that the “model” or Guinea pig on the table was actually someone who is more like a client we see in regular practice - less flexible, perhaps in pain or in need of work in the area of teaching, and not a very, very flexible young person who perhaps has never had injuries or years of manual labor , so we could see how to work on someone who can’t even rotate without pain(for example) and then be able to see the magic of the work afterwards

    • @AdvancedTrainings
      @AdvancedTrainings 2 роки тому

      Thanks for the kind words Salina! Thanks too for the feedback. This excerpt's model has a pronounced scoliosis, and tho she is very flexible, this is one subtype of scoliosis clients you'll see in practice. Her flexibility might make it easier to visualize the direction of the technique, tho of course range would be less obvious on a less-flexible client. Have you checked out the full courses on our site? The new RIB ISSUES course uses several models of different ages with a variety of complaints: a-t.tv/ribvideo/ Thanks for watching!

    I once had a Swedish physio therapist do something very similar after I had a knee injury and my foot arch fell and my toes curled. Sadly he went back home and no one else knew his technique but this is what he did. Now I have hammer toes on both feet and do not want surgery. Do you know anyone in Ontario Canada who know this. I am iverv70 walk 3 miles daily and would love to get my toes fixed. No pain, just difficulty buying shoes.
